“Pass here and go on, you’re on the road to heaven”

We took this photo 2 years ago in the Amish settlement in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Besides the sheer beauty of the photo, it so simply describes where we are at this point in time. Life, this magnificent, unexpected journey, feels like a ride into an unknown field of opportunities.

Sometimes we have found ourselves agitated- tired- stubborn (and more, you name it!) this month, because the fork on the road was before/ after we wanted it to be, the ride was faster/ slower than our liking, the stops were hiding too many/too few surprises, etc etc etc.

And yet, underneath it all, this picture was there to remind us with certainty, with a smooth, gentle knowing that we will be held in a carriage of love, no matter what the choice or circumstance is.

Imagine living life like riding on that horse carriage, with a gentle breeze caressing your face, your body being lazily rocked left and right, perhaps even humming a happy tune as you take it all in, that beauty that we have around us and call our world.
